Shawna Reiter, experimental artist and fine art puppeteer

[My November column in the Ajax/Pickering News Advertiser]

Hi there Allan
You're right, but,the eggs were actually perfect till I ran a piece of the nest up beside the egg and it cut it off so that it looks an odd shape, figured if I added more nest to cover it I would have too much nest and the background was too dark to add more egg so guess I'll put it down to the fact that the bird had a bad day the day she laid that egg!

Smaller paintings may be the way to go as people are feeling the pinch. I know I sold two small paintings at Algoma, but not the larger ones. Thanks for sharing your routine of painting. It just shows that it takes a lot of work, but it is worth it when you enjoy the process and the excitement of displaying your work.

Can I ask you how often you paint. I need some inspiration as to how much time and effort goes into your paintings. I admire your new series. Love the dog in water with the ball.
