Toronto Aerospace Museum

For those of you who are interested in Canadian aviation heritage or have family or friends with this interest I recommend you visit this musem located on the former Downsview Airport property in Toronto. The focus of this relatively new museum is to display aircraft with a Canadian connection. Amongst many aircraft is the only full scale metal replica of the Avro Arrow,in existence. Hi Robert - thanks for the suggestion regarding the pastel artist - I am not doing the workshops for ACA anymore. Sorry it took me so long to respond.

Hi Robert,
Thankyou for your comment. I take that you are a fan of aircraft. My father was a pilot in the military. He joined the Air Force in 1941, flew during the war , but stayed in after, and retired after a distinguished flying carreer of more than thirty years, and retired out of Downsview, I grew up living beside Airforce Bases.
Have Fun

Hi Bob,

Sure, go ahead and create a subgroup for your photos, if you like. You can also separate your artwork and photos into separate galleries. Whatever works best for you. What problems were you having when you tried to post your photos to Allan's Photo Group?

Cheers!

Mike

"I frequently post photos on DASONET but I am concerned I am infringing on the photos of member's art ( including my own ). I have not been successful in posting in the Photo sub-group. Do you have any objection or thoughts/thoughts on segragating photos from art photo images on this site?
Bob "

Hi Erika
Thanks for the note and comment on one of my paintings. I do not have any sculptures to show. I'm sure I would enjoy it in any one of many different materials. My sculpture experience is quite limited and currently I'm trying to get remotivated to do more painting. I've only been able to get a handful of hours devoted to painting in the past several months.

Hi Robert, thanks for your kind words. Sculpting/modeling is challenging, as your work has to look good from so many angles. If you get it right, it can be rewarding. But I think challenge/reward applies to all media.
I already commented on one of your pieces. Do you have any photos of your 3D work?

Hi Bob

Thanks for the contact info regarding the pastel artist from Markham. You have given me his email address - do you know if he has a web site up?

Thanks for forwarding this information! Judith
