I am a member of the Durham School of Fine Arts, and have been studying with the group there for the last two years under the direction of Andrew Hamilton. I work primarily in Acrylics. My subject is florals. Large single blossoms inspired by the works of Georgia O'Keeffe. I love focusing in on a single bloom, so that I can paint the spectacular details in every petal.
Thank you for the welcome Kathy! Your work is wonderful and nice to see you list a mentor/instructor. Without them, we would be lost.
Cheers,

Spectacular work!
I can ID with your description of your work.
Replace "Ferrari" with "Flower" and we are in the same ballpark.
Focusing in on one detail and exploring the intricasies of the item. With you its petals, stamens and stigmas. With me, its polished metal, stickshifts and exhaust pipes. :)
Welcome to dasonet, and am looking forward to seeing more of work. They are fabulous!
