About Me:: My name is Hulbert Waldroup. I am a New York artist. My art has been featured in a number of commercials and campaigns, both here in the U.S. and abroad. My controversial Amadou Diallo mural has been the subject of numerous news articles in major newspapers. My murals are in some of New York's prestigious schools. I also do commissions.
My intent with this forum is to post my newest collections and or events. More important, it will allow me to develop a rapport with fellow artists & art lovers around the world.
I absolutely love to travel. The greatest thing about traveling is that it allows you to step out of your own orbit. When you are an artist that is important to your craft. Your visual plane becomes so much broader. I have had the opportunity to travel to a number of countries. I have met people from all walks of life. Durham is a great vessel to meet fellow artists & art lovers around the world. It is very cathartic to have dialog from different points. For me, I think that Durham will accomplish that.
