About Me:: A portrait painter, working in a painterly realistic style, I do mainly portrait commissions. I am an active juried member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, the Oshawa Arts Association and the PineRidge Arts.
My education consists of 4 years at Ontario College of Art, Communication and Design with electives in Fine Arts. I continue to develop my life drawing skills at the Alumni open drawing studios at OCAD.

Recent Stuff

I have not been on here, again, for a month or so. My part time job is now done till Sept. so I am working on commissions, a mural, and a couple small paintings to sell as well as 2 personal pieces. I need to begin the portrait I intend to enter into 2009's The Kingston Prize. It will be of my son and his guitar. Lately

Have not been on here much since the Fall. Had a busy season in my seasonal job as a school photographer. Currently, have entries in a current show through the Fed. of Canadian Artists; hope my entry gets accepted. I don't always get into the juried shows I enter. Currently have a large watercolour collage style portrait commission to finish for March 3rd so am a bit swamped and short of time lol!

Hello Fellow Durham Region Artists!

I have rarely had time to get involved much within my own community's art goings on. Always too much work and running I guess.

I have entered the PineRidge juried exhibitions, the Oshawa one a couple of times as well as an older one in Pickering that was held at the library and civic building there back in 97. I would love to get involved in a portrait group.
The biggest hurdle, to getting good at portraiture, is the lack of models.
I know a few artists in Scarborough and Ajax who would probably jump at the chance.The only issue is the studio space.My house is too small.
